The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) notifies vehicle owners when an emissions test is required. A test is required when license plates are renewed (the renewal notice contains details) and when ownership changes (a letter is sent). The hours of operation for testing and renewals are Mon-Fri 8-5 and Sat 8-2.
The State of Wisconsin charges a $10.00 fee in additional to the cost of renewing your plates. This fee is assessed by the State and not Muffler Magic. You will receive your new registration and stickers on site immediately after payment is made. You may pay with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or cash. Temp plates are also available for $8.00
There is no appointment necessary to bring your vehicle in for an emission test. Testing is free.
